Statutory Compliance Partners Sponsors Delaware County Historical Society’s “Dinner with the Presidents and First Ladies” in Delaware, Ohio

On February 21, 2026, the Delaware County Historical Society hosted its inaugural Dinner with the Presidents and First Ladies in Delaware, Ohio, at The Barn at Stratford. The event brought together business leaders, community members, and local supporters for an evening focused on American history, presidential leadership, and Delaware County’s unique place in that story.

Statutory Compliance Partners, LLC was proud to sponsor two tables for the event. At one table, guests dined alongside the Rutherford B. Hayes reenactor. At the second, the William Howard Taft reenactor joined guests for conversation and historical insight. The experience allowed attendees to engage directly with presidential history in an interactive setting.

A highlight of the evening was a live panel discussion featuring:

*Rutherford B. Hayes portrayed by Paolo DeMaria and Lucy Ware Webb Hayes portrayed by Deb Shatzer

*Franklin Delano Roosevelt portrayed by David Hejmanowski and Eleanor Roosevelt portrayed by Maggie Snyder

*William Howard Taft portrayed by Kent Halloran and Helen “Nellie” Taft portrayed by Krista Halloran

The session was informative and engaging, offering historical depth along with thoughtful audience interaction. Guests learned about President Hayes’ connection to Delaware, Ohio, and his role in establishing the White House Easter Egg Roll tradition in 1878 after egg rolling was banned on Capitol grounds.  Delaware County’s connection to that national tradition remains significant. The Delaware County Historical Society maintains the largest private collection of presidential Easter eggs from the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, a remarkable historical tie linking Delaware, Ohio, to the White House.

President Taft’s portrayal also brought humor to the evening, including his lighthearted amusement at the very tiny dessert forks served during the meal, a memorable moment that reflected both authenticity and charm.

We were honored to host valued clients and special guests at our sponsored tables, including David Yoder; Michael and BethAnn Camp; Stephen and Shanna Harless; Rachel Schneider; Chris Crock; James and Laurie Lendon; and Melissa Jordan.
